A contemporary transport destination designed to elevate public mobility in Abu Dhabi through efficient operations, passenger comfort, and a strong civic identity. The project transforms a traditional bus station into a modern urban gateway that connects communities and enhances the public transport experience.
Envisioned as an integrated mobility hub serving Al Shamkha, Al Shahama, Shakhbout City, Khalifa City, Mussaffah, and Madinat Zayed — every component is carefully arranged to ensure seamless circulation, operational efficiency, and a welcoming experience for residents and visitors alike.
Otak International was selected for the final phases of the Grand Canal Hotel redevelopment into a 5-star Venetian-style village resort, located near Bateen Airport and the Grand Mosque. We led, managed, and coordinated all disciplines, providing full design services and construction supervision across the hotel, villas, Venetian village, and spa.
The development includes a 400-key hotel across 10 buildings, a 14,000-square-meter classical Venetian garden, a Venetian village with retail and 33 furnished apartments, a 2,000-square-meter spa, beach club, conference halls, a rooftop winter garden overlooking Maqtaa Channel, and 95 detached villas with underground valet parking and marine works.
Phase 4 provides a luxury living experience in collaboration with Jacob & Co., integrating the region's rich history and natural beauty. Surrounded by heritage landmarks such as the Summer Palace and Majlis, the development blends modern design with traditional elements, high-quality materials, and sustainable features.
It offers sea views, landscaped outdoor spaces, and recreational amenities, including beachfront activities. Emphasizing cultural respect, environmental harmony, and accessibility, the development delivers an exclusive, tranquil, and contemporary lifestyle that celebrates both heritage and nature.
